Michigan Trip!

I am finally back in Alaska after a long day of traveling. I think it added up 13 hours of travel time, almost 10 of which were spent on the plane. I think I felt Baby Stein kick more yesterday than I have ever felt. Not sure if he/she is a fan of flying. I think all the sitting I was doing was squishing my little one and Baby Stein was just trying to get comfortable, at the expense of mom. :) I was hoping Skylar would be able to feel a kick or two but as soon as I was off the plane Baby Stein became rather calm. It feels great to be back with Skylar again after him being away for the past 16 days. Those last 10 days passed by so quickly with me being in Michigan, which I am very thankful for. I had a great time! I was able to see a lot of people, which was wonderful. It felt really good to be able to see some friendly faces. After this visit it makes me even more excited (which I didn't know was possible) to be coming home for a month long visit in November, this time with Skylar. I know he is very excited as well. Being with family and good friends, especially at this time in our lives, is very important to us. Can't wait to see everyone again. Except next time, I'll be a 'little' bigger ;)

Surprise Trip! :)

I was surprised on Sunday when my parents called and offered to have me come to Michigan for the last 10 days of Skylar's field exercise. Right when I get off the phone with them, before I even know if I was going to get a flight, I started packing my bags and getting ready to go home. Needless to say, I was pretty excited! After my flights were booked the time could not seem to go by fast enough. I could not wait to be back in Michigan with all my family and friends -- the next morning did not seem as if it would ever come. But it finally did come and all my flights went well. I only had one layover in Minneapolis/St. Paul and it wasn't that long so the day seemed to go by pretty quickly. Which I am very thankful for. :)
This is the first time baby Stein is 'visiting' Michigan and we're planning to take full advantage of that. Already we've been very busy. We had trips to Fredrick Meyer Gardens, Panera Bread (one of the many restaurants on my must visit list), Kyle's softball game, The Score and much more. Tonight is Seth's first 78'ers football game. I'm really excited I'm able to go to one of his games, possibly two! :) Skylar and I were pretty bummed when we thought that we'd miss all of his games. Looks like I lucked out!
On a down note -- the ultrasound date has changed, yet again. But this time it is not due to the Army. They are not going to have an ultrasound tech. in the day we originally had planned, so now we have to wait until October 4th to find out if we're having ourselves a little boy or a little girl. I guess this will just build up the anticipation that much more.
I hope to be able to see everyone while I'm here in Michigan; however, I am only here for a short 10 days and there seems to be a lot of things booked up in that already. But baby Stein and I will try our best to get everyone in. I'm excited to show everyone the little bump that baby Stein is giving mommy. :) Hope to see you all soon!
